About

About Mainbase

Mainbase is a purpose-built document management platform for industrial facilities — power plants, manufacturing, water, and anywhere engineers and maintenance personnel rely on drawings to do their jobs.

The problem is familiar: thousands of P&IDs, loop sheets, electrical schematics, and equipment drawings scattered across shared drives in folders nobody agrees on. Search is useless. Onboarding new people is painful. When equipment is down, finding the right revision of the right drawing takes longer than the repair itself. Mainbase fixes that. Every drawing gets structured metadata and flexible tagging, so your team can find any document by equipment tag, system, location, discipline, or anything else — in seconds.

The founders

Alen Spiller, Co-Founder, Product

Alen brings hands-on experience with industrial control systems and power plant operations. He's worked directly with power plants and their maintenance teams to perform capital projects and perform day to day maintenance. He's worked directly with the documentation that keep facilities running and felt firsthand how painful drawing management can be at plants.

Oak Chantosa, Co-Founder, Engineering

Oak is a full-stack software engineer with experience building products at scale. He's worked across the stack — backend and frontend at large tech companies shipping software used by millions. At Mainbase, he leads engineering and architecture, bringing the rigor of modern cloud software development to an industry that has historically been underserved by good tools.
